Who are we?

Toastmasters are people from all walks of life, pastors, employees, business owners and managers, students, teachers, unemployed, retired, to name but a few.

At Pembina Valley Toastmasters, we have many opportunities to improve our communication and leadership skills. There is a prepared agenda for each meeting.

What do we do in Toastmasters?

In our gatherings, we develop our public speaking skills by giving prepared speeches and by learning to think on our feet as we give short impromtu speeches. We run our Toastmasters meetings using parliamentary procedures.

Members of Toastmasters provide encouragement and suggestions for improvement to each other following any prepared or impromptu speech. This feedback is very important--and we invite you to share your suggestions. Applause is a form of encouragement, so we do a lot of clapping. Please feel free to join in!

You are welcome to attend our Toastmasters club as a visitor for several weeks to observe our meetings and to determine if you might benefit by active participation.
